About Us Sri Ghasiram Majhi was a prominent political leader from Nuapada, Odisha, who served as an elected representative for multiple terms spanning several decades. His legislative journey began as early as the 1950s, and he continued to serve through the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Throughout his career, he represented Nuapada (previously Nawapara) constituency under different party banners: the Indian National Congress, Swatantra Party, Janata Party, and Janata Dal. He won elections in 1957, 1961, 1971, 1977, 1985, 1990, and 1995, signifying his enduring popularity and influence in the region.
Majhi held significant ministerial portfolios in the Odisha government. Notably, he was entrusted with departments such as Health & Family Welfare and Tribal & Rural Welfare.
