Objectives

➤The SRI GHASIRAM MAJHI MEMORIAL CHARITABLE TRUST, SGMMCT Shall strictly maintain non-governmental, non-political and non-profit making character while striving to achieve the following objectives:-

➤To facilitate and run Eye Hospital,medical care centers, day care centers, old age security homes, rehabilitation centers and balwadi centers

➤ To conduct and collaborate with the Governmental and Voluntary Agencies in "Mother and Child Health Development Programmes" through health education, antenatal care, immunization and family planning and to provide nutrition education to derive maximum benefits with the available and possible

➤To promote and execute initiatives of Swatch Bharat mission like implementation of Solid Waste Management.

➤To promote the Dhansingh Majhi Memorial Pathagara.

➤ To establish hospitals for public, old age homes & day care centers for old people, working women's hostel & short stay homes for needy women, orphanages, adoption centers & crèches for children and to provide night shelter, health care & sanitation facility for rural areas, open & establish orphan university.

➤To provide all possible necessary requirements to farmers to easy farming

➤To provide water distribution facility in required areas in required situation To take up rural and urban area development projects / programme in collaboration with the Central / state Governments, Government-agencies, bilateral and multilateral agencies, private sector and NGOs;

➤To accelerate the effort to achieve universal sanitation coverage and to put focus on sanitation coverage in rural and urban areas.

➤ To develop infrastructure (like roads, drainages, sanitation and drinking water facility in rural and in urban areas. To enhance productivity of farmers through providing technical inputs, raw materials (such as seeds, IEC materials, organic fertilizers, improved implements etc)),formation of Food Producers Organization and linked them with through market linkages for sustainable development.

➤ To conserve water through soil and water conversation measures, rain water harvesting, development of farm pumps.

➤ To provide clean energy source to rural and urban households through solar light installation.

➤ To promote, support, establish and undertake saving &credit initiatives, micro finance projects/ programme and form & establish community banking & alternative financial institutions and credit delivery mechanisms for the poor;

➤ To promote, establish and develop rural and small-scale industries including dairy, poultry, cottage and other small industries;

➤ To undertake, launch, promote, support, manage and implement programme for environment protection,-pollution reduction, flora, fauna and natural resources conservation, a forestation, social forestry, waste environmental Sanitation, etc.

➤ To organize all those events which lead to the capacity building, skill up gradation and the attitude building of the people;

➤To take up research and development activities, formulate, manage, and develop research projects and programmes, organize seminars, conferences and workshops, conduct feasibility studies;

➤To take up housing and infrastructure related programmes including physical up gradation;

➤To print, publish, and develop audio visual aids for awareness generation, knowledge sharing, product promotion, resource generation and to strengthen the objective of the society;

➤To use and also promote information technology for furthering the objective of the society;

➤ To take up the welfare and development activities for the informal sectors workers;

➤ To promote & provide community based rehabilitation services;

➤ To provide, support, facilitate, enhance and deliver insurance services and other products to people. The insurance services include both life insurance and general insurance; To educate the people to be aware of their problems and to solve them with the available resources through their organized and collective action.

➤ To develop tourist spots of Odisha, create awareness and methods to invite investment from different sources for this cause. Also give special focus to technical support for the logistic arrangement of transport for tourism industry. To conduct functional literacy programmes for various needy groups, especially the women.

➤ To promote small saving schemes for women, managed by women.

➤ To run low cost Health Clinics to tackle minor health problems and to provide referral facility, including ambulance to appropriate hospitals in case of necessity.

➤ To conduct various continuing adult and non-formal education programmes, community health education programmes and projects including vocational training in various skills and craftsmanship for the benefit especially of women, children and the elderly irrespective of caste, creed or community.

➤ To conduct spiritual and devotional activities time to time for awareness among the people about the God, Goddess and the Supreme Soul.

➤ To establish drugs de-addiction centres and creates awareness to check-up the alcoholism and smoking.

➤ To promote agriculture, animal, husbandry, fishery, poultry farming, dairy farming, goatery, mushroom cultivation, floriculture, handicrafts, handlooms, cottage industries and other income generation activities to raise the standard of living of weaker sections of the society.

➤ To rehabilitate the destitute, orphan, polio, handicapped children through vocational training and residential education, vocational training, skill development, care and to create or facilitate opportunities for employment/selfemployment for them.

➤ To undertake various women's development activities such as gender equality, legal awareness, counseling & assistance, women's empowerment through awareness, education, training and up-grading their economic standard of living.

➤ To organize nutrition education programme for the benefit of the community, especially for women and children.

➤ To introduce and promote computer education, information technology and other forthcoming modern education technologies for the welfare of youth and women in rural and backward areas.

➤ To organize holiday camps, yarious competitions, coaching and other activities having educational/entertainment values for the benefit of the children/students.

➤ To undertake research and publication activities in any field of community development preferably issues of women and children.

➤ To encourage children and their parents for schooling and education in backward areas by introdueing various family helper programmes and child's sponsorship as a major activity.

➤ To work for the eradication of social evils such as alcoholism, drug abuse, dowry system, illiteracy etc. through people's organization/community

➤ To established educational institution/vocational training college/special education for children and youth etc.

➤ To ensure integrated development of youth, the society will undertake sports & games, leadership development, national integration camps organize education/entertainment & adventure trips, spiritual education, scholarship & coaching facility for students, establishment of career guidance center & libraries, organize training & exposure trips for all round personality development of the youth.

➤ To promote sports and games among the youth and involve them in community building projects like road lying, house construction, tree plantation, cleanliness and sanitation.

➤ To promote environmental education, eco-development protection & promotion of environment by organizing environmental awareness campaigns, seminars, symposias and workshops with stress for undertaking a forestation and social forestry as a major programme.

➤ To develop community and private non-forest wastelands leading to sustainable development of the operational area people.

➤ To provide emergency relief at the time of natural and manmade calamities such as flood, cyclone, drought, earthquake, war etc.

➤ To promote the above activities the society shall respect at all times the religious and cultural feetings of all the people and shall avoid political activities. The aforementioned objectives shall be carried on for the welfare and development of all the people irrespective of caste, creed, community and sex. ➤ Celebrate function & festivals related to religion and culture. To do and cause to do all such lawful activities as are in accordance with the spirit and principles of the objects of the trust or which are conducive to the attainment and pursuit of the aims and objects of the trust.

➤ Each of the above objects shall be independent of the other and one of the above objects involve the carrying on of any business, trade or any activity for profits.
